Sound Creations delivers L2 advanced concert sound systems to YASTREB-Sound for major artist deployment

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan – July 2025 – Three sold-out concerts by Sevara Nazarkhan at Humo Arena in early May marked the first major deployment of L-Acoustics L Series in Uzbekistan. The performances showcased the new L2 line array system deployed by YASTREB-Sound, Uzbekistan’s first and only L Series rental partner.

Sevara Nazarkhan and Humo Arena: A Perfect Match

Sevara Nazarkhan stands as Uzbekistan’s most internationally recognised musical artist, known for blending traditional Uzbek music with contemporary arrangements and for collaborating with artists like Peter Gabriel and Sinéad O’Connor. Her solo concerts at the 12,500-capacity Humo Arena drew audiences from across Central Asia, with all three performances reaching full capacity. The artist’s intricate vocal arrangements and diverse instrumentation—from traditional Uzbek instruments to modern orchestration—demanded a sound system capable of reproducing every musical detail with precision and clarity.

YASTREB-Sound Becomes First L Series Partner in Central Asia

YASTREB-Sound, Uzbekistan’s leading technical production company, became the region’s first L Series partner with their L2 acquisition, and the concerts marked the system’s first major deployment. The partnership was facilitated by L-Acoustics Certified Provider distributor, Sound Creations, who provided system design consultation and technical support for the deployment.

Technical Solution for Arena Challenges

Humo Arena’s expansive interior presented significant acoustic challenges. The venue’s high ceilings and challenging sightlines required a system capable of maintaining clarity and impact across long throw distances while ensuring consistent coverage throughout the space.

The solution centered on L/R L-Acoustics L2 arrays. Each L2 enclosure incorporates four discrete acoustic elements, delivering a 110° horizontal dispersion pattern that provided comprehensive coverage without additional delay towers. L-Acoustics K2 arrays served as side hangs for lateral coverage, with Kara elements handling front-fill duties. KS28 subwoofers in cardioid configuration delivered controlled low-frequency response. The complete system was optimised using Soundvision acoustic prediction software and managed through LA Network Manager.

Sound Engineer Alexander Astakhov mixed the performances on a DiGiCo Quantum 338 console. “The L2’s design allowed us to achieve uniform coverage across the entire arena floor,” explains Astakhov. “The clarity and power were exactly what Sevara’s intricate arrangements required.”

Setting New Standards for Live Sound in Uzbekistan

The successful deployment demonstrates both the technical capabilities of the L2 system and YASTREB-Sound’s strategic positioning in the regional market. The system’s operational efficiency allowed the production team to focus on creative mixing rather than managing acoustic challenges, resulting in exceptional sound quality that industry professionals noted as a significant advancement for live sound production in the region.

“This deployment showcases the potential for professional audio technology in Central Asia,” comments Andrey Nikitin, International Sales Director at Sound Creations. “YASTREB-Sound’s investment in L-Acoustics positions them to support the region’s most ambitious entertainment projects.”

The investment has already proven its value beyond technical specifications. Audience members and industry professionals noted the exceptional audio quality, with every element of Sevara’s performance—from traditional instrumentation to contemporary arrangements—reaching listeners with remarkable clarity.

“The sound quality exceeded our expectations and represents a significant step forward for live sound production in Uzbekistan,” reflects Astakhov. “The L2 system preserved the emotional connection between artist and audience that makes live performance so powerful.”
