Elevating the Sonic Standard at Argentina’s Premier Concert Arena
To maintain its status as South America’s premier stop for international touring artists, Movistar Arena Buenos Aires recently upgraded its production infrastructure with a permanent L-Acoustics concert sound system. Nestled in the vibrant Villa Crespo district, the 15,000-seat facility opened in 2019 under the management of ASM Global. It stands as Argentina’s largest dedicated concert venue and the country’s second-largest indoor arena, specifically engineered to host large-scale live music events..
The Challenge
Movistar Arena manages an incredibly demanding schedule, having hosted roughly 260 concerts in 2025 and projecting 280 performances for 2026. Because the venue caters to an eclectic mix of global superstars spanning pop, rock, electronic, and metal genres, it requires an internal audio infrastructure that is absolutely rider-acceptable. The arena needed a solution capable of delivering uniform coverage, high fidelity, and studio-level clarity to every seat in the house—from the front row to the highest upper bowl balconies.
The Solution
Partnering with local Certified Provider Distributor EXOSOUND and L-Acoustics engineering, the arena deployed a comprehensive system combining K Series and L Series line arrays. The main hangs consist of 12 K1 over four K2 elements per side, paired with out-fills of L2 and L2D elements. Low-frequency control is achieved via flown cardioid KS28 subwoofers combined with a massive ground-stacked subwoofer array across the stage face. Delays, underbalcony zones, premium suites, and lounges are seamlessly filled out by a strategic mix of L Series, A Series, and X Series coaxial enclosures, ensuring no listener is left out of the sweet spot.
The Result
The permanent installation delivers consistent acoustic fidelity throughout the entire venue. Audiences seated in the upper bowl, tucked under the balconies, or relaxing in the private VIP suites now experience the exact same pristine, high-impact sound quality. By investing in its own world-class loudspeaker system, Movistar Arena has reinforced its commitment to touring productions and solidified its reputation as one of the best-equipped large-format arenas in Latin America.

From the beginning, we had K1 and K2 in here through an external contractor. Based on that system’s strong rider acceptability and the consistent audio quality we’ve enjoyed over the past six years, it was a straightforward decision to stay with the brand and purchase our own L-Acoustics system.
