SB15P - Self-Powered Compact Extension

The SB15P is the recommended subwoofer companion for the 108P and 112P self powered enclosures, lowering the system operating range down to 40 Hz.

The SB15P contains a 15’’ direct radiating LF transducer integrated into a compact bass-reflex tuned enclosure. Featuring optimal size, frequency, and tuning ratios,the SB15P combines the advantages of a self-powered enclosure with the addition of onboard DSP control. The integrated 15’’ transducer provides exceptional power handling and cone excursion capabilities with the added benefits of low thermal compression and reduced distortion. The integrated amplification and DSP module ensures optimum driver protection while allowing the enclosure to deliver an exceptionally high SPL level. The cabinet design and tuning approach optimize the temporal behaviour of the enclosure and maintains the inherent musicality and definition characteristics at the very highest operating levels.

The SB15P contains a speaker management DSP and a single channel power amplification module. The DSP manages the system crossover network and dual protection of the loudspeaker component.

The SB15P features a pole mount socket located in the top panel allowing visually elegant front-of-house or side fill coupling when used as a complement to 108P or 112P. The adjustable ETR15P bracket can be used for wall or ceiling flown applications to reinforce the versatility of SB15P in fixed installations.

The particular benefits of coaxial technology are related to the radiation characteristics of a point source. The natural studio monitor sound quality and the aural sensation of transparent sound typical of coaxial systems is adapted to proximity applications such as stage monitoring, front-fills, under-balcony fills and FOH live monitoring.

The point source technology is also suited to distributed applications in semi-reverberant spaces where a single reflected source offers a more coherent radiation field with less reflected virtual sources than a dual acoustic source typical of horn-woofer combinations.

All coaxial systems are available as plug and play solutions with built-in amplification and DSP (P series) or amplified controllers available with a complete set of dedicated preset libraries for FOH, fill and monitor modes. This integrated package offers the user a fast and easy set-up and ensures performance consistency, predictability and the best possible component protection.
