Designing the Sound of DPHQ3: Inside Dude Perfect’s New Headquarters

Dude Perfect, the sports entertainment group known for trick shot videos, comedy, and family-friendly content, recently opened a massive new headquarters dubbed DPHQ3. Spanning 80,000 square feet, the production and sports facility houses basketball courts, football turf, golf bays, pickleball courts, climbing walls, themed production zones, and collaborative spaces.

The Challenge

DPHQ3 operates as both a busy creative studio and a high-energy indoor sports environment. The facility needed a sound system that could support active gameplay, enhance video production, and maintain high speech intelligibility across large, open spaces. The team also needed the flexibility to run multiple independent playlists in distinct zones or link the entire building for facility-wide playback.

The Solution

Clear ProAV designed a multi-zone L-Acoustics system, utilizing Soundvision software to accurately model coverage and optimize loudspeaker placement for each distinct area. In the sports and activity zones, they deployed high-output X12 and X8 loudspeakers to deliver the punch and clarity required for energetic production shoots. Inside the executive lounge, compact Soka loudspeakers complement a large LED wall while maintaining a clean architectural profile.

Low-frequency support comes from KS21i and SB15i subwoofers, positioned strategically to deliver impactful bass without overpowering the room. In the Dudes’ private offices, ceiling-mounted 5XT loudspeakers pair with an SB10i subwoofer for focused, nearfield listening. A network of LA2Xi, LA4X, and LA12X amplified controllers powers the entire complex, ensuring each zone has the headroom required for everyday use and large events.

The Result

The completed installation provides a highly versatile audio environment that instantly adapts to the team’s fast-paced content creation. Every zone delivers consistent, intelligible coverage, allowing Dude Perfect to shift from isolated, multi-room operation to full building playback on demand. The sound system actively elevates the energy of the facility and provides a reliable sonic foundation for their creative concepts.
