FIRMWARE (and eventually LA NETWORK MANAGER) update will erase all user data, in particular the user presets stored in the units.
Consequently, before applying any operation, save personal systems, presets, and/or output channels to files using the version of LA NETWORK MANAGER software already installed on the computer.
These files will be ready to be loaded back after the process is complete. Refer to the LA NETWORK MANAGER user manual for both steps.

L-NET and LA Network Manager From a PC Windows®-operating system, the L-ACOUSTICS® LA NETWORK MANAGER Remote Control Software provides network control and monitoring of up to 253 L-ACOUSTICS® LA4 and/or LA8 amplified controllers within the L-ACOUSTICS® L-NET network. The proprietary L-ACOUSTICS® L-NET network allows for easily configuring multiple Ethernet network topologies, using CAT5e STP cables (or higher categories) and standard RJ45 connectors. The use of a universal Ethernet switcher is recommended for specific network topologies. |

Advanced control and real time system monitoring Access to all settings such as Mute, Gain, Delay, Polarity, and Preset can be done via the remote software interface. LA Network Manager also features system stand-by and initialization control in addition to comprehensive visual monitoring of the audio signal paths and quick detection of any faults in the attached network. |

NEW : Array Morphing The Array Morphing tool (V1.2) is an exclusive tool virtually control characteristics affecting the resulting system frequency response (array size, listening distance, splay angle). The Array Morphing provides LF compensation and allows for smooth adjustment of the frequency response of a line source array and compensate for different array geometries and conditions of use. Array Morphing tool provides the same sonic signature to all L-ACOUSTICS® line source systems used in the same installation and approach a reference standardized frequency response when desirable. It also offers frequency response flexibility to adapt to various applications: from speech & classical music (“flat” response) to live rock music (“enhanced LF response”). |

NEW : Output Channel Resources This new and exclusive feature allows the user to know the headroom for each output channel depending on the gain, the settings of the Array Morphing Tools and the EQ section. The displayed headroom does not depend on the signal sent to the controller’s inputs. This is the result of a calculation with a pink noise input signal at a level of 0dBu. By default, all presets for all L-Acoustics’ products have been established for having 8dB of headroom at 0dBu (except for KIVA and 8XT with 4dB).

Dual Workflow approach LA Network Manager allows two possible workflows: Offline and Online Modes. Off site, the Offline Mode allows the user to configure a complete sound system in terms of units, groups, presets, settings, etc... When present onsite, the Online Mode allows the engineer to send or retrieve the data between the network units and the PC. Online mode offers real time control of each unit in the Network. |

|
System and preset upgrade management Each LA4/LA8 carries its own and complete onboard OEM Preset Library. As preset libraries are updated on a regular basis, Network Manager allows the engineer to benefit from the latest up to date revisions and preset upgrades. Each unit is managed by a Linux based firmware allowing for future developments on LA4 and LA8. NETWORK MANAGER features a utility module for quick and easy firmware upgrades on amplified controllers. |
