SUZHOU, China — May 2025 — LIVERSE, a cutting-edge hybrid reality entertainment destination, has opened in Suzhou, a major city located 90 minutes west of Shanghai. This ambitious 10,000-square-meter indoor space features a stunning 1,000 square-meter high-definition screen with 270° sightlines and glasses-free 3D technology for its 3,000-capacity audience. The venue is equipped with China’s first permanent installation of L Series progressive ultra-dense line source professional audio system, creating a rich multidimensional audio experience that complements the venue’s impressive visual capabilities.
L Series: The Solution for Next-Generation Entertainment
The joint venture between Suzhou Broadcast Station (SBS) and Cheng Tian Entertainment faced compelling challenges: creating an audio environment that could match the venue’s spectacular visual displays, ensuring consistent sound coverage throughout the dynamic standing-only venue, and designing a system flexible enough to adapt to the venue’s innovative automated stage configurations. LIVERSE partners with top-tier visual artists, musicians, and multi-media creators from celebrated festivals including the UK’s Glastonbury, Westwood from the Netherlands, and Japan’s Summer Sonic – all demanding audio quality to match their world-class creative output.
“We were tasked with creating a powerful audio experience that could match LIVERSE’s extraordinary visual capabilities,” explains Vincent Zhou, Technical Director at Rightway Audio Consultants (RAC), the L-Acoustics Certified Provider Distributor who designed and installed the system. “The venue partners with world-renowned music festivals like Glastonbury, Westwood, and Summer Sonic. Our solution needed to deliver exceptional sound clarity to complement their cutting-edge AR, VR, MR, and holographic projection technology.”
L Series Hardware: Exceptional Power in a Compact, Lightweight Design
RAC’s solution features L2 and L2D arrays, which deliver crystal-clear audio. Their sleek profile and reduced weight were crucial for this installation, preserving sightlines while still producing an impressive max SPL of up to 155 and 151 dB respectively – power that audience members can feel as much as hear.

Perhaps most impressively, the compact form factor maintains clean sightlines throughout the venue while giving the LIVERSE technical team the flexibility to quickly adapt to different performance configurations – from intimate concerts to expansive theatrical productions.”

A10, A10i Focus, and X12: Completing the Immersive Sound Experience
The configuration features L-Acoustics L Series for the main arrays, with A10 speakers as side-fill and front-fill systems. The svelte A10i Focus provided an ideal solution where intelligibility and clean aesthetics were essential, while versatile L-Acoustics X12 enclosures were selected for under-balcony fills.
Soundvision: Precision Planning for Long-Term Impact
The project’s success hinged on meticulous planning via L-Acoustics Soundvision 3D audio modeling software, and LA Network Manager. “Our engineers generated detailed audio coverage maps of the L Series system while collaborating closely with the Cheng Tian Entertainment team,” explains Zhou. “We designed audio coverage zones that dance alongside the venue’s 270° visual display system, creating an audiovisual harmony that neither technology could achieve alone.”
