NEW YORK CITY \u2013 July 2025 \u2013<\/strong> L-Acoustics Certified Provider integrator and distributor Boulevard Carroll Entertainment Group, one of the largest full-service production companies in the country, has opened Manhattan\u2019s first-ever L-Acoustics L-ISA demo space. Located at the company\u2019s sixth-floor rehearsal suite at 625 West 55th Street, just blocks from Times Square and the city\u2019s renowned theater district, Boulevard Carroll\u2019s new L-ISA-equipped Studio One is one of seven professional workspaces available, allowing engineers to experience L-ISA while they\u2019re rehearsing in one of the other spaces or build an L-ISA show file during their rehearsal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featuring a design based on input from L-Acoustics technicians and utilizing Soundvision design software, Studio One has a complete 7.1.10 immersive sound system in place. The space, built out and equipped by Boulevard Carroll\u2019s own AJ Nittoli, Daryl Moore, Jake Hertzog, and Joe Smith, is ideal for sound designers, audio mixers, and other technicians who are rapidly making L-ISA the premier immersive sound platform for the theater market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe L-ISA technology installed in Studio One will be used for multiple applications, but primarily for Broadway engineers to come in to experience the system \u2013 to hear, to learn, and to mix,\u201d says Anthony Cioffi, President at Boulevard Carroll Entertainment Group. \u201cWith L-Acoustics staff, we\u2019ll be conducting hands-on trainings, giving people direct experience with L-ISA processing technology and showing them how realistic it can be. Immersive sound is the future for Broadway and theater, and sound designers and creators can discover that future here. I believe this technology will eventually be in every theater \u2013 as audiences demand better sound, they\u2019re also seeking a more engaging experience. \u201cBroadway is a main market for us here, and we\u2019ve consulted with sound designers and engineers about what they want in a space for immersive sound,\u201d explains Anthony Fischetta, Boulevard Carroll Entertainment Group\u2019s CFO. \u201cJust as importantly, professionals already using L-ISA can come here from other major theater centers, such as London, and simply plug their files in. We\u2019re offering a similar experience to what L-Acoustics has in Westlake Village, California, or in its London Highgate showroom. Engineers have complete project mobility \u2013 they can start work elsewhere and finish with us, or begin here and complete anywhere, all using the same technical platform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fischetta adds that the facility also has the same high-input-count DiGiCo and Yamaha consoles that are routinely found on Broadway\u2019s technical riders, as well as MADI, Dante connectivity, and Dolby Atmos compliance. \u201cNow, with L-ISA, we\u2019re ready to fulfill every need for a production\u2019s sound,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L-Acoustics L-ISA has already made its mark on Broadway audio. It was a key component in the sound design of\u00a0The Outsiders<\/em>, for which Cody Spencer won a Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical. Boulevard Carroll\u2019s 7.1.10 L-Acoustics setup is installed in an acoustically valid rehearsal space, one of several there that are designed to accommodate Broadway rehearsals, from backers\u2019 auditions to full dress run-throughs. The L-ISA system\u2019s loudspeaker complement comprises seven X8i<\/a> frontal speakers, six X6i<\/a> side and rear speakers, four 5XT<\/a> overheads, and a pair of KS21i<\/a> subwoofers. An L-ISA Processor II<\/a> facilitates immersive processing, while power is furnished by one LA7.16i<\/a> and one LA2Xi<\/a> amplified controller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studio One will offer the ability to preview how shows will benefit from immersive audio and fine-tune a production-specific sound design. \u201cI believe that with most new shows, sound engineers will ask for immersive systems,\u201d states Cioffi. \u201cThey want the best experience. Shows are commanding top dollar, and they need to deliver on that promise. Immersive sound is the future of theatrical sound in the Broadway market, and with Studio One and L-ISA, we have positioned ourselves as the destination to facilitate that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
