Hyperson SA deploys 360-degree L-ISA Hyperreal Immersive Sound solution to solve vocal clarity challenges in mobile Swiss performance space <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LAUSANNE, Switzerland – March 2025<\/strong> – Pavilion Naftule, a new 1,200-square-metre pop-up performance space specialising in comedy, has completed its debut season at Lausanne’s Place Bellerive using a comprehensive L-Acoustics hyperreal immersive audio solution. Named after the late Pierre Naftule, a respected regional comedy producer, the dismantlable venue attracted nearly 30,000 spectators across 100 performances featuring a diverse program of comedy and musical productions. To address the unique challenges of a temporary structure hosting up to 15 performers onstage simultaneously, Pavilion Naftule partnered with L-Acoustics Certified Provider Hyperson to implement a full-surround L-ISA configuration using the compact yet powerful A Series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Series Solves Mobile Venue’s Acoustic Challenges<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The semi-permanent nature of Pavilion Naftule presented specific technical obstacles that required innovative solutions. The theatre’s dismantlable structure, six-meter-high stage, and seasonal operation demanded a system capable of delivering consistent vocal clarity while maintaining spatial accuracy across the tiered 456-seat venue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Having worked together on multiple productions where L-ISA has proven invaluable, integrating it into Pavilion Naftule was a logical step,” explains Fabian Schild, Co-Director at Hyperson SA. “Pavilion Naftule\u2019s Technical Director, having experienced L-ISA’s impact at the Corbak Festival for the past three years, was confident it was the right choice for both sound quality and visual aesthetics.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remote Pre-Production Enables Seamless L-ISA Implementation <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most innovative aspects of the installation process was Hyperson’s unique approach to pre-production. Since the Pavilion was still under construction during rehearsals, the team leveraged their in-house \u201cAuditoria\u201d for advance planning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cColin Roquier (Rock Yeah) the lead engineer handled all positioning and tracking from our office ahead of time,” notes Fabian Schild. “We recorded rehearsal footage, played it back in our auditorium, and completed all L-ISA positioning in just two days.” This remote workflow allowed for precise calibration of the mix even before the venue was physically ready. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

360-Degree Immersive Sound with Precision A Series Deployment <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The installation features a strategic A Series configuration with three clusters at the center each composed of two A15 Focus<\/a> and one A15 Wide<\/a> for the main sound system, supplemented on each side of the stage by a cluster composed of two A10 Focus<\/a> and one A10 Wide<\/a>. Nine X8<\/a> loudspeakers provide spatial front-fill. Six KS21<\/a> subwoofers provide extended low-frequency performance, while two LA7.16<\/a> and three LA4X<\/a> amplified controllers power the system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What sets this installation apart is its true 360-degree immersive environment: twelve X12<\/a> coaxial enclosures surround the room, creating an immersive soundscape for comedy performances, making sure the audience hear every word, no matter where they are seated.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The L-Acoustics A Series was the ideal choice for Pavilion Naftule,” says Lead Sound Engineer Tiercy. “Its compact yet powerful design ensures balanced sound distribution, while L-ISA technology enhances every element of the mix. For both musical and comedy performances, where clarity and spatial accuracy are paramount to audience comprehension and enjoyment, L-ISA creates a more natural and immersive listening experience.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

L-ISA Configuration Ready to Travel with Mobile Venue <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavilion Naftule is already planning its next phase of development, exploring expansion to additional sites across French-speaking Switzerland from 2026, with the L-ISA configuration designed to travel with the structure, bringing state-of-the-art spatial audio experiences to new audiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
