Hungarian rental company\u2019s investment strengthens the country\u2019s K2 alliance<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gy\u0151r, Hungary \u2013 May 2021<\/strong> \u2013 Hungarian rental and installation company, G-Sound<\/a>, was founded in 2014 by J\u00f3zsef Gricz, an experienced engineer who previously worked for the country\u2019s National Radio. G-Sound offers solutions for high-profile events and technical support for sports complexes. Recently, the company decided to add L-Acoustics K Series<\/a> to its inventory, elevating its own standing within the Hungarian market and strengthening the country\u2019s K2<\/a> alliance.

The system was supplied by Audmax<\/a>, an L-Acoustics Certified Provider Distributor for Hungary, whose CEO, Krisztian Varga, recalls G-Sound\u2019s decision process for choosing K2. \u201cIn 2019, J\u00f3zsef was looking to take the next step in event technology and started to dive into the L-Acoustics world,\u201d Varga says. \u201cIn December of that year, I offered him a visit to the L-Acoustics corporate office in Marcoussis. Both J\u00f3zsef and his system engineer Zsolt Balogh were impressed with what they saw. We spent a fantastic day with sales manager Florian Kunz and application engineer Willi Klein, who organized an open-air K2 demo for us.\u201d

Even though Gricz was now firmly set on investing in K2, the investment was delayed by the pandemic. But Audmax and G-Sound persisted, despite the setback, and finalized the purchase in late 2020. \u201cWe knew that adding L-Acoustics to our inventory would make a significant difference to our business, and the adverse situation in 2020 was only a short-term hurdle,\u201d says Gricz. \u201cAs the industry slowly returns to better times, it\u2019s even more important for us to be ready to offer the best sound experience to our clients and partners. We are hopeful that the summer season will offer us moments to show what our new K2 system can do.\u201d

G-Sound\u2019s brand-new K2 system is based on the KX standard and comprises 36 K2, 12 K1-SB<\/a>, and 24 KS28<\/a>, plus an additional 18 Kara II<\/a>. All amplified controllers are LA-RAK II AVB<\/a>, which fits perfectly with G-Sound\u2019s optical backbone cabling system.

As the industry ramps back up, Gricz has ambitious plans to invest further. \u201cWe\u2019d like to add L-Acoustics stage monitors and fill systems to our inventory,\u201d he explains. \u201cWe also feel that the unique, corporate-event friendly Syva<\/a> would be a great tool for us,\u201d he adds.

Varga continues to work closely with G-Sound, offering daily support. The crew successfully completed the System Fundamentals training, a one-week online course, and are looking forward to hosting L-Acoustics Willi Klein for a hands-on session as soon as conditions allow.
