Haikou, China\u2014April 2026<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 When more than 100 of China’s biggest film, television, and music stars arrived at Haikou’s Wuyuanhe Gymnasium for the 2025 Tencent Video All Star Night, the first sound they encountered wasn’t inside the arena; it was on the red carpet.<\/span> Now in its seventh edition, the Tencent Video gala is one of China’s most-watched entertainment ceremonies, drawing millions of online viewers. This year’s event, themed ‘Another ME,’ broke new ground with a first-ever dedicated red carpet and awards for short-drama performers, AI-generated virtual hosts in the live broadcast, and a bold production decision that placed the main stage at the dead center of the arena, surrounding performers with audience on all sides. Rental partner Beijing Dadong Huahan, with the support of L-Acoustics Certified Partner Racpro, was tasked with delivering seamless audio across every element, from red-carpet arrivals to central-stage performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a Chinese entertainment gala of this caliber, the red carpet is far more than a walkway; it\u2018s a televised spectacle in its own right, with live commentary, media interviews, and fan interaction. To reinforce this zone without disrupting its carefully designed visual aesthetic, Racpro deployed two Syva with Syva Low on either side of the themed media backdrop. The slim, architectural profile of Syva integrated seamlessly into the set design, while its controlled directivity focused sound precisely into the media and presentation areas, delivering clear, full-range audio without visible loudspeaker stacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The red carpet is the audience’s first impression of the entire event, so the sound had to be as polished as the visuals,” says Li Wenxi, Senior System Engineer for Racpro. “Syva gave us exactly that. Powerful, focused sound in a form factor that disappeared into the design.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

K Series delivers 360-degree concert sound<\/strong>
Inside the gymnasium, the central-stage layout presented a different challenge entirely. With several thousand spectators seated in a full bowl around the stage, the system needed to project uniform, high-energy sound in every direction while preserving clear sightlines. The design team used Soundvision to model coverage in advance, then deployed two flown main hangs of six K1<\/a> and six K2<\/a> each, four side-fill hangs of 10 K2 each, and 10 front-fill positions of two Kara II<\/a> each around the stage perimeter. All arrays were flown to keep the audience’s sightlines to the central stage completely unobstructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With the stage in the center, every seat was essentially a front-row seat, so the system had to deliver the same impact in every direction,” says Wenxi. “K1 gave us the raw power for a room of this scale, while K2’s Panflex technology let us shape coverage precisely without cluttering sightlines.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“From the Syva on the red carpet to the K1 in the arena, L-Acoustics gave us a single ecosystem that covered every moment of the show\u2014arrivals, performances, speeches\u2014without a single compromise,” adds Wenxi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
