SINGAPORE – November 2025 <\/strong>\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0The St. Regis Singapore, a 299-room luxury hotel situated on Singapore’s premier Orchard Road and steps from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Singapore Botanic Gardens, has completed a comprehensive renovat<\/span>ion, including the John Jacob Ballroom and the St. Regis Bar. This extensive, multi-phased transformation\u2014the first since the hotel’s official opening in April 2008\u2014marks the dawn of a new chapter for the hotel, and features state-of-the-art L-Acoustics professional audio systems designed and installed by Concept Systems Technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly redesigned John Jacob Ballroom\u2014now a stunning 710 square-metre pillarless space with seven-metre-high ceilings\u2014subtly captures the beauty of 19th-century European orangeries, complete with ornamental motifs reminiscent of trailing vines. Two skylights bring natural sunlight by day, while by night, the ballroom’s mirror elements evoke a starlit garden. The space can accommodate up to 600 guests for a conference and can seamlessly divide into two identical spaces for concurrent events. The St. Regis Bar design reimagines the brand\u2019s early 20th-century Manhattan origins through a contemporary lens, providing an intimate setting to savor the hotel’s Bloody Mary and craft cocktails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soka Delivers Flexible Excellence for Complex Ballroom Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The John Jacob Ballroom’s multiple configurations presented unique acoustic challenges that demanded exceptional flexibility. The ballroom’s professional sound system needed to integrate flawlessly with the two new nine-meter LED video walls and intelligent lighting systems. Whether configured for a 420-seat banquet event, 560-guest reception, or a 600-seat theater presentation, the space requires consistent, high-quality audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Ballroom’s multiple configurations and ability to split into two separate venues require exceptional flexibility,” explains John Tan, Sales and Project Assistant Director of Concept Systems Technologies. “The system needed to deliver consistent coverage across all event formats while maintaining the elegant aesthetic that defines the St. Regis brand.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concept Systems leveraged Soundvision 3D modeling software to design a distributed audio solution centered on eight L-Acoustics Soka speakers with four Syva Subs, all in white finish. Soka’s discreet form factor and wide, homogeneous coverage pattern made it the optimal choice for this challenging environment, while the white finish seamlessly integrated with the ballroom’s interiors color palette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A third-party audio distribution professional sound system enables seamless preset selection, particularly when the ballroom is divided into two rooms, significantly simplifying operations for hotel staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
