Located in Manchester’s thriving Spinningfields district, Sexy Fish has already established itself as a culinary and cultural hotspot. Known for its lavish d\u00e9cor, including sculptures by Damien Hirst and a pink onyx bar, the venue offers a unique dining atmosphere. In addition to world-class cuisine, Sexy Fish hosts high-energy events, transforming its space into an entertainment hub. The architectural layout of Sexy Fish Manchester presented significant acoustic challenges. Its L-shaped design and towering seven-meter-high ceilings, paired with luxury materials such as Verde Esmeralda stone and Venetian glass columns, created a highly reflective environment. For a venue that hosts international performers and DJs, ensuring pristine sound was critical, especially in the bar area where space for speakers was limited. The challenge was to design a sound system that could deliver powerful, clear audio without overwhelming the luxurious yet acoustically challenging environment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Enter L-Acoustics, renowned for its groundbreaking line array speakers and immersive sound technology. L-Acoustics Certified Provider, Marquee AV, led the design and installation process, utilizing L-Acoustics’ 3D audio modeling software, Soundvision, to strategically position speakers for optimal sound dispersion. The solution combined a mix of L-Acoustics A10i Wide loudspeakers and X8 coaxial speakers, ensuring wide coverage while keeping acoustic energy low to minimize reflections. Additionally, seven SB10i subwoofers and other low-end solutions provided the necessary depth for Sexy Fish\u2019s eclectic audio needs, ranging from subtle background music to high-energy live DJ sets.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sexy Fish Manchester now boasts a concert sound system that enhances its atmosphere with impeccable clarity and coverage.
