Products / Systems overview

L-ACOUSTICS® has developed several technologies to address the needs of live performance applications. Systems follow two major criteria:

  • The system LF contour capability at maximum SPL (see paragraph about system contour)
  • The system throw capability related to the audience size (standalone or distributed designs)

The XT and P Series coaxial systems are recommended for FOH distributed configurations, delays, fills, stage monitoring and live monitoring. Presets for coaxial enclosures are designed to match any application for instant plug and play usage:

  • Fills
  • FOH
  • Monitors

Wavefront Sculpture Technology systems are divided in three categories corresponding to applications and market segments:

  • Medium format systems: ARCS®
  • Modular systems: KIVA, dV-DOSC
  • Large format systems: KUDO®, V-DOSC®, K1

About System Contour

A contour represents the frequency response envelope of a system (tonal balance). Factors influencing system contour are enclosure model, dimensions, directivity and listening distance. L-ACOUSTICS systems are classified in three contour groups corresponding to their LF resources at maximum SPL.

Coaxial systems and modular line sources without LF extension.

ARCS and modular line sources with LF extensions.

Large format line sources (tonal balance of 12 V-DOSC at 40 m).

Using the Array Morphing tool, these contours can be achieved by any system within its resources limits. A reinforced contour such as the V-DOSC® reference can be achieved by any other smaller system by a gain reduction or by reinforcing its resources with the appropriate ratio of LF extensions and subwoofers.
