Sound reinforcement for Friday's opening ceremony was delivered through the classic line array staple, the V-DOSC system, featuring Wavefront Sculpture Technology, designed by Paris-based L-Acoustics.
An estimated 220 V-DOSC line source cabinets were flown for the London event, supplemented by over 50 ARCS downfill cabs. Reinforcement at ground level was supplied by around 80 SB28 subs, with additional frontfill from (estimated) 80 KUDO cabinets.
Over one billion people worldwide are believed to have watched the opening ceremony on Friday.
